I love this simple v-stitch pattern. You can make big blankets without it being too complicated. The above blanket with Notre Dame colored stripes is perhaps my favorite so far… but I have made lots of other fun ones too. Each blanket measures 4′ by 6′.

Simple V-stitch Blanket Pattern:
- Chain 144. Double crochet twice into the 140th chain and every other chain to the end of the row and finish with 1 double crochet. (Skipping a stitch and then doing two double crochets in the next stitch creates a nice V pattern.)
- Turn work and chain 3. Double crochet twice into the same stitch and into every other chain to the end of the row and finish with 1 double crochet.
- Continue pattern until you reach the desired length of your blanket.
